  • I didn't post for Thanksgiving, or for thankful thursday, so I think that I am going to just do it now! I think it is important to look at our lives in retrospect and realize all that God has given us! In the good times, and bad, He is using different people and situations to lead us closer to Him. Where do I even start?

I am thankful for forgiveness, and second chances. In specific, I am thankful that Josh was brought back into my life totally by God. It's nice to say that "if it's meant to be, God will find a way," but to really EXPERIENCE it...amazing. I will tell you the story sometime if you would like to know  It's definitely a miracle to me.

I am thankful for a family who supports me in everything. I am thankful that I consider my mom one of my best friends and that my dad would drive to BG at 1 am to help me when both of my windshield wipers broke in the pouring rain. I am thankful for my brother Jake, and the chance that I have to be an example to him. And our little dog, Andre, brings joy to our life everyday with his sillyness and kisses, and I am thankful for that.

I am thankful for Lauren--her constant friendship has built me up so much. We laugh and cry together, fall down and get back up together, and could talk for hours about anything. I think that everyone should have a friend like her!

I am thankful for my new church family

I am thankful for having the opportunity to go to school and the chance to be a nurse. One day, I hope to share God's love to my patients and be an encouragment to those who may be facing a very scary illness.

I am thankful for my minimum wage job...haha...even though I get tons of silly questions, "Do you have bibles with the Old AND New testament?" or "I want a Christian bible, not a Catholic one." It's fun, I get to listen to my music, and I get a discount...sweet!

Hmmm I need to go study so I am just going to through the rest out here: I am thankful for my lifegroup, my house, my family's health, my friend's health (Hannah and Joshua ), Eirene, lower gas prices!, laughter, love, christmas music, zoo lights, freedom....I could probably go on for a reallllly long time! God is SO good

Thanks for reading my thrown-together thoughts! -Kristen

  • So I decided to bring Xanga back..I used to love this site in high school  I have Facebook and myspace, so why not a website just for blogging? Haha...because I need to spend more time on my computer!

I am so ready for this semester to be over!! 5 more days  It has been wonderful and I have learned so much, I am just really ready for a break. Now, I only have 2 years left til one amazing job

Christmas break will be fun...I don't really have plans, yay! I am planning on cuddling up and watching lots of movies, maybe some sledding/ice skating, and cookie baking. I also can't wait to go to the zoo lights!  Two years ago, Josh and I went on our first date there...I remember being SO nervous....haha. It's funny to think about that now.

I have so much to do today, so I should get to it!

About Me

  • I am a driven, God lovin, joyful girl just trying to find my place in this world. I am blessed with wonderful family and friends (and miniture schnauser, Andre!) I am going to school to be a RN, but one day I will be excited to work on my domestic engineering degree. Haha...I have a huge place in my heart for kiddos and I can't wait to have my own family...in God's timing! I am beginning to find His handprints on everything in my life...I just know that He is in control and that His plans are better than anything I could ever imagine on my own!
